Carol’s Home Page
I'm Carol and I live in Yorkshire in the UK. One of my hobbies is Guiding; for more information on Guiding in the UK click here:
www.girlguidinguk.org.ukHaving moved and had a baby fairly recently I am not involved with units at the moment. Unfortunately the Guide unit I used to run in Bramhope, north Leeds, ended up closing. If you think you could reopen it I would love to hear from you.
I was lucky enough to attend the Guide World Camp at Foxlease in 1999. Around 3200 Guides and Girl Scouts from 55 countries around the world attended this wonderful event. Its theme - Peace Vision Power. View some of my photographs and some of the crafts we did at
World Camp .My other hobbies (when children allow) are gardening, in particular growing fruit and veg, and cooking. I’m also a keen supporter and buyer of organic food and FairTrade food. It’s time we woke up to what the demand for ever cheaper food is doing to the environment, to farmers and what all those chemicals are doing to our bodies.
I’m also a member of
La Leche League. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding your baby then I urge you to seek out your local group as it’s of invaluable support. Each group is run by trained breastfeeding counsellors who have all been (or still are) breastfeeding mums themselves. So as well as meeting other mums you can go for help too.Find them at
